Our teachers also enjoy the generous benefits that Sino Canada brings in terms of work/life balance, and our compensation/benefits package. The list below highlights the differences between our contract, and other BC Offshore School contracts:
• A Calendar with generous holidays (Christmas, Chinese New Year, Summer, and other smaller holidays in October and May = 15 weeks in total).
On Friday classes are dismissed at 11:30 am, this allows boarding students to get an early start home for the weekend and gives teachers valuable prep and collaboration time together.
• 1 to 2 prep blocks each semester. Maximum 7 total teaching blocks in a year.
• Many shared leadership positions available which allows for unique opportunities to gain experience and advance your career.
• Well resourced school, with accessible budgets controlled by BC program.
• Highly competitive salary range ($60,000-$80,000 CAD based on experience and degrees e.g. Master degree).
• Re-signing bonus after successfully completing 2 years and returning for a third, and another increase after 3 years.
• Travel Allowance - 10000 rmb/year for travel anywhere.

• Free weekly bus to and from all major cities near the school (Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou).
• Approximately 1.5 hour drive to Shanghai. Very accessible to both Shanghai, and Suzhou but far enough away for a very low cost of living near the school. Rents are typically around 3000 to 3500 RMB per month and the school is near a smaller community with all necessary amenities that include Starbucks, shopping and many great restaurants.
